Today we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Windak Group!

As we mark this significant milestone, we’re thrilled to reflect on three decades of developments, achievements, and strong partnerships in our industry.

This journey has been an incredible adventure, defined by constant innovation and growth.

In celebration of this landmark anniversary, we’re honored to present a special message from our CEO, Staffan Edström:

“Windak AB was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in April 1994 by three former employees of Skaltek AB, Sweden: Magnus Carlberg, Lennart Forsmark, and Urban Bollö.

Each year Windak has increased its turnover organically, with the number of machine offerings and worldwide installations.

By the end of 2024, the total number of installations will be more than 450 in over 40 countries. Windak supplies many of the largest international cable companies worldwide, predominantly to the USA.

Looking back over the 30 years, there is no single customer, no single owner/employee and no single event that made Windak to what it has become today.

Like many small company startups, it is an accumulated organic growth over the years. Windak is a team of inspiring, talented and dedicated individuals, and we understand that our success hinges on every order delivered.

Each order needs to be delivered on time with great performance and quality. We try our utmost in supporting our customers with immediate response if in need of spare parts and service.

From our humble beginnings in Stockholm to becoming a globally recognized leader in cable machinery technology, our story is a testament to the power of vision, hard work, and teamwork.

Each step of our journey has been guided by a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and a steadfast dedication to meeting them with quality and precision.

This customer-centric approach has been the cornerstone of our success and will continue to drive our strategies as we move forward.
